Shaylee Nicole Bedward-Downs 27 of Napppanee, died Nov 28, 2021 at her residence.  She was born on Jan 3, 1994 in South Bend to Ron Bedward and Nelda (Troyer) Bedward.

Shaylee lived most of her life in Nappanee. She was a 2012 graduate of NorthWood High School and graduated from Indiana University in 2016. She lived in Kansas City, Missouri, after college where she worked at Cerner Health Care IT.

Shaylee was an animal lover and memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Societies of Elkhart, Fulton or Monroe counties.

She married Evan Downs on May 15, 2021.

She is survived by her husband Evan. Surviving siblings include sister, Mikayla Bedward, Nappanee; grandfather, Robert Bedward Sr, Wakarusa; grandparents, Loren and Erma Troyer, Nappanee; and mother-in-law, Brenda Downs, Rochester.

She was also preceded in death by father-in-law, James Downs.

Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee is in charge of arrangements.  Visitation will be from 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM on Dec 4, 2021 at Nappanee Missionary Church.  A memorial service will conducted at Nappanee Missionary Church on Dec 4, 2021 at 4:00 PM.  Mark Mikel will officiate.
